The banks have spoken, they’ve got the buyers, they just need the land 👀

There’s a fair bit of interest out there at the moment, and part of my job is matching the right people with the right property.

That could be a dairy farm, lifestyle block, support block, or some extra maize or grazing ground to make an existing operation work a little better 🌱

After a few years in the rural game, you learn pretty quickly that no two situations are the same.

For some, selling might be about timing the next move. For others, it might be about succession, a change in direction, or simply knowing what the options are.

That’s why I don’t think good real estate advice starts with a price or a listing agreement. It starts with understanding the people, the property and what they’re actually trying to achieve.

Sometimes the best place to start is simply sitting down, having a coffee and having a good yarn.

That’s the part of the job I enjoy most. Listening to the story first, then working out where I can help.

Calving is almost over for a lucky few, the grass is starting to get away and you can definitely feel the season beginning to shift 🐄

One of the best parts of the job is being out on the ground, having a yarn with farmers and getting a real feel for what’s happening. You hear what’s going well, what’s not, and how they’re feeling as we tackle spring 🌱

You’ve heard a bit about me… now you’ll probably start seeing a bit more of me around the place. 🌾

It’s been a great fresh start and a busy few weeks getting settled in with the Ray White Te Awamutu/King Country, with plenty happening already.

Lots of time out on the road, walking properties, catching up with farmers, looking at stock and meeting some new faces along the way.

Same approach, same work ethic, and the same old love of a good yarn.

Nothing beats getting amongst it and seeing exactly how a farm operates, right down to the temperament of the herd.
