| Ro Edgar
When I was growing up, it was with the understanding that my name meant “sweet and gracious”. A quick internet search now says otherwise - a mix of meanings. A mix of names. A mix of origin. No one seemed to be able to pronounce my name, so I now usually go by Ro, unless I’m in trouble. Here’s a quick overview of this particular Roanna, at least..
• A mum of two, and the wife of a furniture mover (how convenient, you say?)
• One of two type 1 diabetics in our household
• An ex fine arts student, ex retail assistant, ex barista
• Has far too many dreams of creating a big garden for the amount of time left in the day, but never say never!
• A hoarder of all things considered retro, eclectic and fun
• And therefore a big fan of flea markets, garage sales, antique and op shops.
Real estate drew me in, in 2015, where I thought my interest in buildings and renovation gave me the motivation to sell houses - don’t get me wrong, the difference between a villa and a bungalow is sometimes hotly contested, and I will die on that hill - but this is a people job. Since 2018 I have been learning a different set of people skills than those learned in retail, or hospitality. Upselling a cake to go with a coffee is so vastly different to handling a client’s biggest asset and seeing it safely into the hands of an excited purchaser. With a few years in the industry behind me now, I hope I can continue to use what I have learned, continue to do it well, and potentially help you into your next home.
