Paul Columbus joined our whaanau 15 years ago when he was appointed to manage the brand new Novotel Auckland Airport hotel.

He went on to open and establish Te Arikinui Pullman Auckland Airport hotel, the magnificent 5* hotel at the gateway to Aotearoa.

Thank you Paul for your care and stewardship of these two important tribal assets.

We appreciate you and all you have done for our iwi.

This morning, our kaimahi and their whaanau gathered at Te Rau Putiputi, our Whatawhata farm, to welcome te tau hou with a hautapu. A deeply moving morning of connection, karakia, and remembrance.

HE KARAHIPI HOU ✨

This week at Aka Raupapa, we were proud to announce the Aka Raupapa Supply Chain Scholarship – a new initiative from Tainui Group Holdings, Brookfield Asset Management and Waikato-Tainui.

The scholarship has been created to help grow the next generation of supply chain leaders by supporting registered Waikato-Tainui members studying supply chain management.

As Ruakura Superhub continues to grow, so too does the need for talented people to help shape the future of our supply chains. This scholarship is about creating meaningful pathways for our people while supporting our collective aspiration of mana motuhake.

A total of $30,000 has been committed to the scholarship over the next three years.

Applications will open later this year through Waikato Tainui and TGH.
