Progress is tracking well at St Giles Park View, with the finish line in sight. This 20-townhouse development in the heart of Kilbirnie is on track for completion in July, with our first stage, Block C, already complete.

With the project being delivered in stages, it’s been all about keeping sequencing and trades aligned to maintain flow across site. The final block is now gearing up to go vertical, while the other blocks are nearing completion.

Steady progress at St Giles Park View in Kilbirnie, a 20-townhouse development for Urban Company.

Three of the four blocks are now standing, and it’s great to see the shape of the project really coming together.

As with any development, the process is always evolving. There are challenges to work through, details to refine, and decisions to adapt to along the way. It’s about staying solution-focused, learning as you go, and keeping momentum while maintaining quality. That’s all part of delivering a great outcome.

Today’s site visit to St Giles Park View in Kilbirnie, a development by , shows just how fast things can progress.

With two of the four blocks now standing and different trades rolling through each day, the development is full steam ahead.

Having an awesome team on side at MRG Property means that everyone understands the part they play and works together well, this is what keeps the momentum going and the build on track.

The pace of work at St Giles Park View in Kilbirnie is next level.

Construction is progressing steadily across the development — Block C now has all its frames up and cladding well underway, with trades teams on site daily keeping things moving.

Block D’s frames are standing tall, capturing plenty of natural sunlight and giving a clear picture of how this development will take shape.

Meanwhile, Block A’s footings and foundations are complete, with block work now underway. Progress is happening every day, and with the weather turning a corner, that momentum is only set to continue.

We’re putting a lot of time and energy into building out the right structures and systems for each stage of our projects, from early planning right through to construction.

When things start moving fast it’s easy for the small stuff to slip through the cracks, which can turn into a bigger problems down the track.

It’s a learning curve, no doubt. Every site is different. Every market shift changes what’s possible. Each project brings its own set of challenges.

But that’s the part we love. Being able to adapt, refine what we do, and keep getting better. Strategy and planning aren’t just the starting points, they’re what guide everything that follows.

The Right Architect Makes All the Difference

One of the biggest things we’ve learned through doing more projects is just how important the right architect is. Not just for the drawings, but for the way the whole project unfolds.

We’ve been working closely with the team at and it’s a relationship that’s made a real difference. They get what we’re trying to do — smart, efficient homes that are good to live in and make sense to build.

It’s collaborative. We each bring different perspectives, and there’s enough trust in the process to push and challenge each other when we need to. That’s where the best outcomes come from.

Design has to look good, but it also has to work — for the land, the budget, the people who’ll one day live there. We’re learning more with every project, and having the right team beside us helps us do that.

Let’s Talk Feasibility

Before any development can move forward, it needs to answer one big question:

Does this actually make sense?

That’s where feasibility comes in.

A feasibility study is the groundwork — a way of testing whether a project is realistic, viable, and worth pursuing. It’s something we do at MRG for all in-house developments, and for clients needing clarity before they move forward.

It involves:
• Looking at the site — zoning, overlays, access, services
• Estimating build costs and timelines
• Researching the market
• Calculating the potential return and the risks
• Asking the big “what ifs” before they become real problems

Feasibility isn’t just about numbers — it’s about decision-making. It gives structure to the early stages of a project, helps avoid expensive surprises, and sets a clear direction for what’s next.

Sometimes a feasibility study confirms the potential.
Sometimes it tells us to walk away.
Either way, it’s always worth doing.
