One thing you’ll hear us talk about is the property title, but what actually is it and why is it important?

The Record of Title contains some really important information about a property, including ownership, the type of title and things like easements, covenants and other registered interests.

These are things you want to understand before you sign on the dotted line.

A title can sometimes have information on it that you may not be aware of, and that’s where having your conveyancer look over it can be really helpful.

We’ll check the title and help explain anything you need to know before you go ahead with your purchase.

We’ll also need to complete our AML verification process, which means having your identification, proof of address, IRD number and occupation or job title available.

One week into my new chapter! ✨

Tomorrow marks my first full week as a Conveyancing Assistant at Avila Conveyancing and what an amazing week it’s been!

I’ve been learning so much about the conveyancing side of property and getting a real insight into everything that happens behind the scenes — from AML and client files to titles, conditions and settlements.

I’m really enjoying the change, learning new skills and being part of such a great team. 💙
