With Chris growing up in Whangamata and Katie having a lifetime of holidaying here it was an easy choice for Chris and Katie to move to Whangamata to start their family, business and enjoy what the area has to offer. After completing a Bachelor of Education Katie went into a career in primary teaching working in Auckland, Papamoa and Whangamata. With over a decade in Teaching, including leadership positions, Katie has gained the skills of communication and management to allow her to be successful in real estate. In 2023 with Chris’s business partner Pete Shepard moving to Nelson, Katie decided to team up with her husband Chris Speedy in Whangamata Real Estate.
