Over the last few weeks I’ve been introducing myself to homeowners in Whanganui East, and I’ve noticed some themes emerging.
Many of the people I’ve met love their homes, their streets and their community. They’ve often lived there for many years and have built a life they love.
But sometimes, quietly, some of them are beginning to wonder what comes next.
🌳How many more years can I keep climbing that tree in the garden to prune it?
🏡What do we do with such a big house and garden now that the kids have left home?
💛After losing a partner, is this still the right home for the next stage of my life?
These aren’t necessarily people who are ready to sell.
They’re people who are beginning to think.
And what I’ve really loved is meeting people where they are in that process - listening to them, helping them explore their options and reassuring them that it’s okay to start thinking about the next chapter before they’re ready to make any decisions.
Sometimes the first step isn’t putting your home on the market. It’s simply having a conversation.
And I feel privileged to be part of these conversations 🌺
