Rising Confidence in Auckland’s Housing Market

🏠 July brought renewed optimism to Auckland’s housing market as more buyers took advantage of stabilizing interest rates.

“We achieved 902 home sales—an increase of nearly a third from June and 25% more than last July,” shared Stephen Barfoot, Director of Barfoot & Thompson.

🔑 Key Highlights:

Median Price: $970,000 (up 2.1% from July 2023)
Average Price: $1,127,639 (up 5.7% year-on-year)
Sales: 902 homes (highest winter sales in 7 years, excluding 2021 & 2022)
New Listings: 1,518 (sixth consecutive month surpassing 1,500)
Total Listings: 5,446 properties (up by a third compared to last year)
Stephen Barfoot noted, “Lower interest rates and sellers adjusting to the market have driven a resurgence, with 22.3% of sales under $750,000 and 5.2% over $2 million.”
