📈What's happening In the local market?
WHANGAREI & NORTHLAND MARKET INSIGHTS
The July 2026 REINZ data is out and it shows prices remain steady and sales sit within a normal historical range in the local market, but the pace of activity has slowed as buyers remain cautious and regions continue to diverge.
Some vendors are still adjusting their pricing expectations to market conditions and a higher number of investors have chosen to sell, adding to the number of available homes for sale.
📉According to REINZ Chief Executive Lizzy Ryley, “There’s also no single factor shaping behaviour. The OCR increase and the November election are part of the picture, alongside household finances, job security and wider economic confidence. How those factors affect decisions differs from household to household and from region to region.”
Families grow, people relocate and housing needs change, and those changing circumstances keep the market moving. In a more patient market, the judgment of a local real estate professional is essential to help guide you.
