Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the Whangaroa Barn and while dogs aren't allowed on the St Paul's Rock track, there are plenty of dog-friendly walks. Our favourite: down the hill, along the harbour, and head to Clansman's Wharf to watch out for fish jumping and gannets diving.

We've been planting! The Barn's secluded trellised area — already a lovely spot to sit and eat outside when the weather cooperates — is now a proper garden. Big thanks to Gene Vose for his design, plant sourcing, and growing expertise. Come spring time, we should have a glossy green wall growing on that driftwood happening... can't wait.
