🏆 Clayton McKenzie recognised with Land Development Award -

We’re proud to share that McKenzie & Co Managing Director Clayton McKenzie has been recognised with the Land Development Award at the Survey and Spatial New Zealand Awards.

The award recognises Clayton’s contribution to the land development industry and his nearly three decades of experience helping shape development across New Zealand.

Since founding McKenzie & Co in 2014, Clayton has grown the business to a team of more than 120 people, with a shared purpose: to develop great places and people.

Reflecting on the award, Clayton says:

“It was an amazing event and evening, to be recognised alongside colleagues and peers. But I felt this award was largely due to the team behind McKenzie & Co and not my individual efforts alone.”

We’re excited to be growing our presence in the South Island with our new Wānaka office, located at Suite J, 93 Ardmore Street, Wānaka.

With continued growth across Wānaka and Central Otago, having a local team means we can be closer to our clients, projects and the communities we work alongside. Some of our Queenstown team have relocated to the new office location – shortening their commute.

Giving back to the communities we call home.

This winter, our teams made an optional donation to support local food drives. Winter is a hard time for many families with the increased cost of living compounding.

Our generous Central North Island team delivered two boxes of donations to Āwhina Taupō Community Kai, while our Auckland team supported The Salvation Army with a generous collection of non-perishable food items.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed. Every donation helps local organisations continue the incredible work they do to support individuals and families throughout the colder months.

We're proud to support these two worthy causes and the positive impact they make in our communities.

How could New Zealand's proposed development levies change the way projects are planned and funded?

Infrastructure funding has been one of the biggest topics this year. With the proposed Local Government (Infrastructure Funding) Amendment Bill currently before Parliament, developers, landowners and investors are asking what the changes could mean for project feasibility, funding and delivery.
