Being a parent is incredible, but being a financially smart parent is very important. ✍️

A study showed that the average university fees for sending a child to University abroad for 3-4 years was $120,000. 🤯

So, it’s important to plan ahead and build that fund over time.

All time life moment. ✔️🥹 It was an honor to present at this year’s Ella Invierte by Elevel Group conference, representing Panama real estate, and both Panamigos Realty | Luxury Real Estate & Vida Wealth | Asesores de Inversión 💪🏽

To be a pioneer for the real estate industry is a result of all the hard work I’ve put in over these past years.

This was a moment I paused and reflected on my growth and how far I have come, professionally and personally.

I couldn’t be more grateful to those that have believed in me from moment one, my teams and to those that support me. 🙏🏽

In the presentation, I dedicated a slide to my Mum - one of the most inspirational women I’ve ever met, and my role model. Without her, I wouldn’t have been on that stage. We didn’t grow up with money, but we always dreamed I’d become someone. Thanks, Mum. ♥️

And to share the stage with Dora Arosemena | Panama Real Estate & Relocation was also an honor. She has the most incredible story and she deserved to stand up there. 🙌

🏠✔️ Something a lot of Panama real estate buyers don’t know: How property taxes work and how to pay them.

I got you 😉.

I know these details well, so today I thought I’d map everything out, alongside some calculations. ✍️

The key points to note:

- Taxes are calculated via thresholds 📈
- There’s a difference between residential and commercial, and even your second home 👀
- There’s no longer complete exonerations on new builds 🛑
- Panama property taxes are some of the lowest in the world 🌎

The details matter. When you’re choosing to buy real estate, buy with someone who is numbers and details focused. ✅

THE PEOPLE OF PANAMA WON! 🥇🇵🇦 Do you know the story of Coco Parque, Coco Del Mar?

For 20+ years nobody could enter this park. 🤯

Public land. On the map. Facing the bay. But a private building had put its security gate right on the public access, and even after their concession expired in 2023, the gate stayed.

So the neighbours pushed. 400 of them showed up to a public consultation. The Junta Comunal took it on, and in April the demolition crew arrived with the police behind them and knocked the gate down.

One resident, 73 years old, lived his whole life in San Francisco and walked into that park for the first time this year. 🥹 Wholesome!

Now it’s 1.3 hectares of green space on the water, with a $700k community-designed plan coming: playgrounds, a dog area, walking paths, all with a view of the bay.

This is why I love this city. When people here decide something matters, things get done!

If you own or are buying in Coco Del Mar, take note. Green space like this doesn’t just make the neighbourhood nicer, it makes it more valuable. 🧠
