π’ EL NIΓO CRISIS IN REMOTE MT. BOSAVI (SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS)
This is the reality in Mt. Bosavi, one of the most remote parts of Southern Highlands Province.
Our communities are difficult to reach, and now the situation is getting worse.
This photo shows:
Streams drying up
Fish dying due to lack of water
Water sources becoming unsafe
Because of El NiΓ±o, our people are now facing:
Severe water shortages
Food insecurity
Health risks in remote villages
π Being in a remote area, we cannot easily access help, clean water, or services.
We are urgently calling on:
The Government of Papua New Guinea
National media (EMTV, NBC, Post-Courier)
NGOs and aid organizations
Please come and see the situation in Mt. Bosavi and provide immediate assistance.
We need:
Clean drinking water
Food supplies
Medical outreach
Emergency support
Our people are struggling in silence because of our location. We need urgent attention now.
