A day after the meaningful celebration of the 126th anniversary of the declaration of Philippine independence, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. gifted the Filipino people with two new laws that will help usher in more revenues and growth opportunities for the country redounding to the improved living condition of more Filipinos.

Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez and other members of the House of Representatives witnessed President Marcos Jr. sign into law Republic Act Nos. 12000 and 12001 in Malacañang Thursday afternoon.

Republic Act No. 12000 or the “Negros Island Region Act” establishes the Negros Island Region to be composed of the provinces of Negros Occidental, including Bacolod City, Negros Oriental and Siquijor. This will result in a more efficient delivery of services to Negrenses as the new law shall promote administration decentralization, strengthen local autonomy, and accelerate economic, cultural and social development in the Region.

Republic Act No. 12001 will institute reforms in real property valuation and assessment by institutionalizing a uniform real property appraisal compliant with international standard. This shall enhance the country’s revenue system and generate more jobs for Filipinos.

READ: Ang nag-viral na homily ni Fr. Kali Pietre Llamado na ikinagalit ng mga Loyalists of Bongbong Marcos (LBM) sa naganap na Holy Mass noong October 31 sa Manila Cathedral.
Ayon kay Fr. Kali, nakalimutan na natin ang totoong mukha ng kasamaan. Diin pa niya, dapat ay kilabutan ang mga taong sumusuporta sa magnanakaw, mamamatay-tao, at nagkakalat ng fake news.
“True evil is seen in corruption, in fake news, in extrajudicial killings. That is the true face of evil.
“Ang totoong mga diablo ay ‘yung mga pumapatay ng tao, nagnanakaw ng kaban ng bayan at nagpapakalat ng kasinungalingan. Sila ang mga diablo.
“Kaya lang, nakakalungkot. Ang diablo ay ginawa na lang nating costume. Ginawa na lang nating horror story. Kaya ngayon, ang mga tao, takot sa multo, takot sa aswang, pero pinapalakpakan ang pumapatay ng tao. Suportado ang mga sinungaling at magnanakaw. ‘Di ba nakakatawa ‘yun?
“Tayo, takot na takot sa multo… ‘Di mo naman nakikita pero kinikilabutan ka. Pero kapag sinabi sa’yo, itong tao na ito, nagnakaw ng milyones sa bayan, palakpakan pa tayo. ‘Suportado ko ‘yan! Kahit magnakaw siya, kahit pumatay siya, magaling siya.’ Hindi ba dapat kilabutan ka?
“Kinikilabutan ka sa multong hindi mo nakikita. Pero ‘yung nakikita nating magnanakaw at mamamatay-tao, pinapalakpakan pa natin.
“We have forgotten the true face of evil.”
Kinukumbulsyon sa galit ang mga LBM sa homily na ito ni Fr. Kali kahit wala naman siyang binanggit na pangalan ng politiko o ng kung sinumang tao.
