Rovoca Development Co. continues to advance structural works for this 3-storey commercial building and warehouse development in Iloilo City, Philippines—executed through an integrated construction system combining pre-engineered steel structures, precast concrete wall systems, and high-speed coordinated er****on methodologies.

Positioned within a dense commercial corridor with continuous public traffic, restricted access, and limited working envelope, the project demands a level of sequencing, lift planning, and ex*****on control beyond conventional construction. Compounding this further are irregular lot geometries and constrained staging conditions, requiring every structural movement, delivery window, and er****on activity to be carefully coordinated to maintain both safety and schedule momentum.

The project is engineered and executed in accordance with NSCP 2015 structural requirements, with steel systems, detailing, and connection methodologies aligned with internationally recognized engineering standards including American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) principles—ensuring structural reliability, predictable performance, and resilience against Philippine seismic activity, wind loads, and long-term operational demands.

Rather than adapting the project around site limitations, the ex*****on strategy was engineered around them.

Through coordinated steel er****on, precast integration, controlled lift planning, and disciplined site logistics, Rovoca continues to deliver aggressive construction timelines while maintaining structural precision, alignment accuracy, and construction quality expected from long-term commercial investments.

As Rovoca continues expanding operations across the Visayas and Mindanao regions, projects such as this reflect the company’s capability to execute complex commercial, industrial, logistics, and specialized developments beyond Negros Occidental—bringing the same engineering discipline, technical standards, and ex*****on systems across multiple cities and regions in the Philippines.

For developers, business owners, and investors, construction is more than completing a structure quickly—it is protecting capital through proper engineering, disciplined ex*****on, and systems designed for durability, safety, and operational longevity.

This is the difference between simply building a structure and delivering a project engineered to perform for decades.

Rovoca Development Co. executed the precision slab placement and flatwork works for One Pickleball Hub Bacolod, a project of Homeworld Construction.

The scope involved the construction of a large-format monolithic sports slab, where surface geometry, structural integrity, and tolerance control are critical to the performance of international-standard pickleball courts. In sports facilities of this scale, the concrete substrate is the engineering foundation that ultimately governs court consistency, coating performance, and long-term durability.

Placement was carried out under controlled operations with laser-guided elevation systems, ensuring the slab meets the strict flatness and levelness requirements demanded by high-performance athletic flooring systems.

Projects like these rely on more than equipment—they depend on the discipline, experience, and coordination of Rovoca’s field teams, supported by specialized machinery and carefully managed concrete operations.

With multiple pickleball facilities now completed and underway, Rovoca continues to deliver precision-engineered sports infrastructure, supporting the rapid growth of the sport while maintaining strict technical standards in ex*****on.

Project Turnover — The Dinkyard 6100 Pickleball Facility

Delivered from ground up in six months, this facility reflects Rovoca’s approach to construction: disciplined engineering, careful detailing, and reliable ex*****on.

The structure features a robust steel framing system designed in accordance with AISC and NSCP requirements, with carefully detailed connections and load paths engineered to perform under Philippine conditions — including seismic forces, wind loads, and heavy rainfall.

The building envelope incorporates precast firewall systems for durability and controlled quality, while the sports slab was executed using laser-guided flatwork techniques to achieve the level accuracy required for high-performance pickleball courts.

As pickleball continues to grow, facilities must be built with long-term structural performance in mind. Structural systems are not simply products to be purchased — they must be properly engineered, detailed, fabricated, and installed in accordance with local codes and site conditions.

Engineered properly. Built to perform.

Organizations planning sports, commercial, or medium- to large-scale construction projects may reach out to our team for inquiries.

05/02/2026

Rovoca Development Co. is set to break ground on Pickle Drive Bacolod, our second international-standard indoor pickleball sports facility, located along Araneta Highway, Barangay Pahanocoy, South Bacolod, Bacolod City. Building on our experience from a previous pickleball facility project, this development is designed to serve the growing southern Bacolod community, nearby municipalities, and future national-level tournaments—reinforcing Rovoca’s commitment to precision-driven, long-term sports infrastructure.

The facility integrates pre-engineered steel structures, precast concrete firewalls, and high-tolerance monolithic concrete flatwork—a construction system selected to balance speed of ex*****on, controlled quality, and long-term durability. The structural design follows NSCP 2015, AISC, and ACI standards, ensuring predictable performance, resilience, and code-compliant safety suitable for sustained operation and long-term investment.

Precast concrete wall panels are utilized at firewall locations to achieve factory-controlled quality, consistent dimensional accuracy, enhanced fire resistance, and faster installation compared to conventional site-cast methods. This approach minimizes on-site variability while allowing parallel off-site fabrication and on-site works to maintain schedule momentum.

The courts are constructed over machine-troweled, straight-to-finish concrete slabs, placed using laser leveling and elevation control systems to achieve tight flatness and levelness tolerances across the entire playing surface. This methodology ensures accurate court geometry, uniform surface response, and consistent ball behavior, while allowing professional athletic flooring systems to be installed without corrective grinding or rework—an essential requirement for tournament-grade play.

Architecturally, Pickle Drive is intentionally clear and restrained, prioritizing usability and spatial clarity. Open-span framing provides unobstructed sightlines, generous clear heights support proper ball trajectory, and circulation is logically organized to separate players, spectators, and support functions. The result is a facility that feels intuitive, efficient, and purpose-built rather than overdesigned.

Court color schemes are inspired by international championship venues, including Australian Open–influenced palettes, selected to improve ball visibility, reduce visual fatigue, and enhance spatial perception under indoor lighting—subtle but critical details that directly influence playing feel and competitive performance.

We are grateful for another opportunity to deliver a facility of this caliber—engineered for performance, designed for usability, and built for longevity—bringing international-level pickleball courts to South Bacolod through Pickle Drive, executed with the discipline, precision, and standards Rovoca is known for.

Rovoca Development Co. is executing a fully integrated construction scope for an international-standard pickleball facility, combining pre-engineered steel structures with high-tolerance, performance-grade concrete flatwork—the foundation system that ultimately defines play quality, durability, and long-term operational value.

This phase documents the placement and finishing of a large-area monolithic concrete slab, executed through a single continuous pour and finished to straight-to-finish, machine-troweled specifications. The slab is engineered and constructed to meet the stringent requirements of sport flooring systems, where surface flatness, uniform densification, and consistency of finish are non-negotiable.

For pickleball courts built to international standards, the concrete substrate is critical. Our flatwork is delivered with:

• Controlled elevation and tight tolerances for accurate court geometry
• Uniform surface hardness to support resilient sports coatings
• Consistent power-trowel finishing to eliminate surface variability
• A slab designed to receive specialized athletic floor systems without corrective grinding or rework

In parallel, the pre-engineered steel superstructure is erected with the same discipline—clean alignment, predictable tolerances, and sequencing that allows slab works, curing, and succeeding trades to proceed without conflict. This integration of steel and concrete is what enables fast timelines without compromising technical standards.

What these photos represent is ex*****on control:

• Coordinated steel and slab workflows protecting the project’s critical path
• Mechanized finishing for repeatable, high-quality results
• Night and extended-hour operations to maintain schedule momentum
• A substrate built specifically for competitive sport performance, not generic use

Rovoca builds facilities for clients who demand precision, speed, and long-term reliability—sports operators, developers, and investors who understand that performance starts below the finish layer. No shortcuts. No cosmetic fixes. Just engineering-led construction done right the first time.
