ENGINEERED SHIPBOARD HEAVY LIFT | 3,400-TON BESS LOGISTICS OPERATION

Rovoca, in partnership with Transmodal Philippines Inc., is executing the integrated shipboard discharge and inland heavy-haul program for 80 Sungrow Battery Energy Storage System units, each with a gross weight of 42.5 metric tons, for Citicore Solar Negros Occidental 2—representing a total cargo movement of approximately 3,400 metric tons.

Operations aboard M/V Lady Alina are being performed using a high-throughput lift-on/roll-off discharge methodology: each BESS unit is lifted from its vessel stowage position, transferred directly onto a pre-positioned lowbed trailer, secured, and rolled out through the vessel ramp for onward transport from Banago PPA Port, Bacolod City, to the Citicore project site in Silay. This direct ship-to-trailer interface eliminates intermediate laydown and rehandling, reduces cargo exposure, and compresses the overall discharge cycle.

Ex*****on within the vessel envelope requires disciplined control of multiple engineering parameters: crane configuration and allowable load radius, gross suspended load, rigging geometry and sling angles, hook height, dynamic load effects, outrigger reactions, deck bearing capacity, vessel stability limitations, trailer positioning tolerances, ramp gradients, axle-load distribution, and controlled load transfer during landing.

The campaign is being delivered through two dedicated crews operating on a continuous 24-hour rotation, supported by tightly controlled lift sequencing, just-in-time trailer staging, pre-rigging, cargo securing, route coordination, and synchronized crane–transport cycles. Each movement is managed as a single engineered logistics sequence—from hook engagement to final site delivery—to maintain operational tempo without compromising lifting discipline or safety controls.

This is more than crane rental or trucking. It is the integration of heavy-lift engineering, marine interface management, specialized transport, and time-critical project logistics under one coordinated ex*****on plan.
