The dropping temperature in Benguet has caused the formation of frost in many parts of the province. Henry Lacbawan, a guide in Mt. Pulag, took this photo of frost formations on plants and grasses in Kabayan today, March 14.

This is not surprising given the high elevation of Mt. Pulag.

In Baguio City today, 9° Celsius was recorded by PAGASA. The nearby town of La Trinidad recorded 7.5° Celsius. Mt. Pulag and nearby areas are most likely recording even lower temperatures in order for frost like this to form.

Frost formations have also been reported today in Kibungan, Atok, and Bakun.
