ANNOUNCEMENT | CITY OF BAGUIO

In commemoration of Ibaloy Day, and through the initiative of Antonio R. Tabora Jr., Presidential Assistant for the Cordillera Administrative Region, together with the Office of the Presidential Assistant for CAR (OPA-CAR) Staffs led by Ms. Vanessa C. Carantes, the request to declare Monday, 23 February 2026, as a Special Non-Working Holiday in the City of Baguio City has been approved.

This declaration is formalized under Proclamation No. 1125, allowing the public to meaningfully participate in activities honoring the history, culture, and enduring contributions of the Ibaloy peopleโ€”the original inhabitants of the area.
The public is advised to be guided accordingly.

Police Major Marcy Grace Marron, BCPO public information officer, advises visitors to exercise caution and ensure that they are transacting with legitimate accommodation providers in the city.
