๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐: ๐๐๐โ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐! ๐ซ๐จ
The ongoing forest and land fires in Kalimantan, Indonesia are sending smoke across parts of Southeast Asia, with haze already affecting air quality in several areas of the Philippines.
This is more than just a cloudy skyโitโs a reminder that the air we breathe can affect our health. Fine particles in smoke can irritate the eyes, nose, and throat and may worsen breathing problems, especially for children, older adults, and people with existing respiratory or heart conditions.
Wear a well-fitting mask such as an N95 or equivalent when going outdoors.
โ
Limit outdoor activities, especially strenuous exercise, when the haze is heavy.
โ
Stay indoors and keep windows and doors closed when outdoor air quality is poor.
โ
Check the local air-quality advisory before heading outside.
โ
Keep indoor air cleanโavoid smoking, burning trash, or activities that create more smoke.
โ
Stay hydrated and take care of your body.
โ
Protect children, elderly family members, and people with asthma or other respiratory conditions.
โ
If you experience difficulty breathing, chest pain, severe dizziness, or worsening respiratory symptoms, seek medical attention promptly.
๐ฟ And letโs not forget prevention. Avoid open burning and help protect our forests and environment. Every responsible action matters.
BREATHE SAFE. STAY ALERT. PROTECT YOUR HEALTH. โค๐
Clean air is everyoneโs rightโand protecting it is everyoneโs responsibility.
