The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and Science Park of the Philippines Inc. are expanding an industrial estate in Batangas province to host a P10-billion investment from Singapore-based Total Advanced Future Technology Pte. Ltd. (TAFT).
TAFT, a manufacturer of high-tech, climate-resilient housing solutions for the Japanese market, will serve as the anchor locator for the expanded Light Industry and Science Park IV. The company is investing P3.6 billion for the first tranche of the project.
Science Park of the Philippines Inc. is positioning the Batangas estate as a premier destination for export-oriented firms.
The Batangas area and the wider CALABARZON region remain attractive investment locations, bolstered by the Luzon Economic Corridor initiative that aims to develop a more connected industrial network across Luzon.
Investment interest toward Luzon is driven by developments such as the New Manila International Airport in Bulacan and growing activity in the Clark Special Economic Zone under the “Pax Silica” initiative.
Capitalizing on its earlier developments, Science Park of the Philippines Inc. said its industrial estates remain well-positioned to accommodate export-oriented firms seeking established infrastructure, connectivity and logistics support systems.
Science Park of the Philippines Inc. is also set to develop and register another industrial estate in New Clark City in partnership with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority and the Philippine Economic Zone Authority.
PEZA and Science Park of the Philippines Inc. will embark on a two-week investment roadshow in Japan from May 30 to June 11, 2026.
The mission will cover Fukuoka, Hamamatsu, Yokohama, Gunma, Nagano and Tokyo to promote the country as a competitive destination for advanced manufacturing and innovation-led industries.
