Local Government Units (LGUs) to immediately convene their respective Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (LDRRMCs) for the conduct of a Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA) in connection with Tropical Depression BASYANG “Penha”
The meeting was attended by Local Chief Executive Hon. Celso A. Matias, Municipal Department Heads, and other key officials and stakeholders to discuss the municipality’s preparedness and coordinated response measures for the approaching weather disturbance.
During the discussion, the MDRRMO presented situational updates, weather advisories, and critical preparedness measures including evacuation planning, resource inventory, communication protocols, and coordination with barangay officials.
Hon. Celso Matias emphasized the importance of readiness, early warning dissemination, and community coordination to safeguard lives and property.
All department heads expressed their full support by ensuring the activation of their respective response clusters. The meeting concluded with the reaffirmation of the LGU’s collective commitment to uphold disaster preparedness and ensure the safety and welfare of all Bayoganons amid the potential impacts of Tropical Depression BASYANG “Penha”.
