**Cheap Materials Can Become Expensive Later**
A low quotation may look attractive today.
But if the materials are weak, low-grade, or not properly specified, you may pay more later through repairs, rework, leaks, cracks, and replacements.
Before you build, remember this:
**Cheap is not always savings. Sometimes, cheap becomes double expense.**
Materials you should never compromise:
1. **Steel Bars / Deformed Bars**
Wrong size or poor quality can affect the strength of columns, beams, slabs, and foundation.
2. **Concrete Mix**
Too much water, poor aggregates, or wrong mixing can lead to cracks, honeycombing, and weak concrete.
3. **Waterproofing**
Skipping waterproofing can cause toilet leaks, balcony leaks, wall moisture, paint bubbles, and ceiling damage.
4. **Electrical Wires and Breakers**
Cheap electrical materials can become a safety risk. Your system must match your actual appliance load.
5. **Plumbing Pipes and Fittings**
Low-quality pipes can cause hidden leaks inside walls and floors.
6. **Roofing Materials**
Thin or poorly installed roofing can lead to leaks, heat problems, and costly repairs.
7. **Wall System**
Walls affect speed, finishing, alignment, site cleanliness, and long-term maintenance.
A smart homeowner does not only ask:
**“How much is the quote?”**
Ask:
**“What materials are included?”**
**“What brand, size, thickness, and specifications?”**
**“Is this written in the BOQ?”**
Because in construction, the cheapest material can become expensive when it causes rework.
