The fashion world and interior design are closer than many might think ;)

Reflecting on my studies at Istituto Marangoni, where did we start? Exactly, with exploring the collections of flagship global fashion houses. And no, I wasn’t preparing to become a fashion designer, but this knowledge helped me understand how fashion trends influence the world of interior design.

You’re probably aware that many fashion houses have their own interior design lines. From bold wallpapers and extravagant accessories to unique lighting fixtures. For instance, Armani not only offers elegant clothing but also has the Armani Casa division, creating furniture, ceramic tiles, and even plumbing fixtures. Versace is also known for its luxurious and extravagant interior products.

But it’s not just about fashion brands creating interior collections. The trends and moods we see on the runways during the first seasonal fashion shows later appear in architectural and interior digests and furniture showrooms. These collections become inspiration for new ideas in interior design.
