MANILA TO LUCENA TRAVEL MAY DROP TO JUST 45 MINUTES WITH SLEX TR4

The South Luzon Expressway Toll Road 4 (SLEX TR4) is moving closer to completion, bringing the possibility of cutting travel time between Manila and Lucena from three to four hours to as little as 45 minutes to one hour.

The 66.74-kilometer expressway will extend SLEX from Sto. Tomas, Batangas to Lucena City, Quezon, helping ease congestion along the busy Maharlika Highway.

Officials say portions of the ₱58.4-billion project are on track for completion by 2026, with the expressway expected to boost connectivity, trade, tourism, and investments across Southern Luzon.
