Running a small business in today's economy is far from easy.
One of the most heartbreaking moments is when we've already lowered our rates as much as we possibly can, yet we're still asked, "Can you give a bigger discount?"
What many people don't see is everything behind that price. 😭
They only see the amount they pay, but not the operating expenses, maintenance, utilities, staff wages, supplies, taxes, and countless other costs that come before we even earn a single peso. By the time all of those are deducted, the actual net income is often much smaller than people imagine.
We understand that everyone is trying to save money, and we truly appreciate every customer who chooses to support us. That's exactly why we offer promos and discounted rates whenever we can. But there comes a point where giving another discount doesn't just reduce our profit—it threatens the sustainability of the business itself.
Small businesses aren't backed by huge corporations. For many of us, this isn't just a business—it's our family's livelihood. Every booking, every purchase, and every customer who chooses to pay the posted price helps keep our doors open.
So the next time you see a discounted price, know that it may already be the best we can offer. Sometimes, supporting a small business means understanding that the value of what we provide is worth more than asking for one more discount.
To everyone who supports local businesses without haggling and understands the hard work behind every peso—thank you. Your kindness means more than you know. ❤️🙏
