Alam niyo ba ang kwento ng pagong at ang arka? Isipin niyo ‘to: noong panahon ng malakas na baha, si Noah ay inutusan na magtayo ng ark para isalba ang lahat ng hayop. Nandiyan ang mga mabilis na hayop, tulad ng mga cheetah, mga kabayo, mga ibon—lahat sila mabilis na nakarating sa ark. Pero, nandiyan din si pagong. Mabagal siyang gumalaw, pero kahit na gano’n, patuloy siyang lumakad. Hindi siya nagmadali, hindi siya sumuko, at sa huli, nakarating din siya sa ark.

Ano ang ibig sabihin nito para sa atin?

Gaya ng pagong, tayo man ay nakakaranas ng mga pagsubok, mabagal na progreso, at minsan parang ang layo pa ng success natin, pero hindi tayo susuko. Hindi sa bilis ang laban, kundi sa tiyaga. Ang mahalaga ay patuloy kang kumikilos araw-araw kahit maliit na hakbang lang. Dahil bawat hakbang papalapit ka nang papalapit sa goal mo.

Paalala ko sa inyo: sa bawat rejection, sa bawat ‘no’ na natatanggap natin sa prospecting o inviting, huwag tayong panghinaan ng loob. Hindi ibig sabihin na mabagal ang progreso mo, hindi ka makakarating sa goal mo. Tulad ng pagong, darating din tayo sa ‘ark’ natin—sa success natin—basta magpatuloy lang tayo.

Kaya ngayong araw, gusto kong isipin niyo si pagong. Kapag nakaranas kayo ng hirap o mabagal na progreso, tandaan niyo lang ang kwento niya. It’s not about how fast you go, but about how persistent you are. Walang susuko!

Life has taught me lessons. I do not see people at my crossroads, because humans are not reliable. I only see God as the author and finisher of my faith.

When you live your life without anyone betraying, hurting, disappointing, disgracing, or offending you, then it means you never did anything worthy.

The beauty of life is that it comes with disappointments and betrayals, from people you least expect.

Unfortunately, some of us spend so much time crying over these betrayals and disappointments, and end up becoming victims of all circumstances.
