PHILIPPINE GENERAL HOSPITAL - CAVITE
Currently, there is only one Philippine General Hospital (PGH) in the country, located on the University of the Philippines (UP) Manila campus. It also serves as the primary training center for medical students from UP campuses, with the majority coming from UP Manila.
However, exciting news was brought last year: the announcement of a new Philippine General Hospital (PGH) that would be established in the Province of Cavite. This will be the first PGH outside Metro Manila, aiming to ease the patient load at PGH Manila and enhance the region’s healthcare infrastructure.
The new PGH will be situated within the 200-hectare SM Carmona City (SMCC), a township development by SM Prime in partnership with the local government of Carmona. This upcoming medical facility will be highly beneficial to the growing population of Cavite and its neighboring areas.
PHILIPPINE GENERAL HOSPITAL - CAVITE
Currently, the only Philippine General Hospital (PGH) in the country is located on the University of the Philippines (UP) Manila campus, serving as the primary training center for medical students, primarily from UP Manila.
However, in a landmark development, a new PGH is set to rise in the Province of Cavite—marking the first PGH outside Metro Manila. This initiative aims to ease the patient load at PGH Manila while expanding access to high-quality healthcare in Southern Luzon.
The upcoming Philippine General Hospital - Cavite (PGH Cavite) will be a 600-bed tertiary facility located in the City of Carmona. It will be developed within the expansive 200-hectare SM Carmona City (SMCC)—a township project by SM Prime in partnership with the Local Government of Carmona. This modern mixed-use development will also include a new city hall, a transport terminal, a public market, the Cavite State University (CvSU) Carmona campus, an SM Mall, residential areas, business districts, and recreational spaces.
PGH Cavite is envisioned to play a pivotal role in strengthening the region’s healthcare infrastructure by providing accessible, advanced medical services to the growing population of Cavite and neighboring provinces. It stands to benefit not just the residents of Carmona, but the entire province—ushering in a new era of regional healthcare excellence.
