• Walay fixed rule, depende sa kasabotan sa buyer ug seller
• Kung buyer ang nag-request sa survey, siya kasagaran ang mobayad
• Kung seller ang nagpa-survey para ibaligya ang yuta, siya pud kasagaran ang mugasto
• Usahay, pwede ninyo i-share ang cost kung mutually beneficial ang survey
• Importante gyud nga klaro ni sa inyong kasabotan before magpadayon ang deal

Recommendation:
Kung kaya sa budget, mas maayo nga buyer ang magpa-survey. Sa ing-ani nga paagi, masigurado gyud nimo ang sakto nga boundaries ug actual area sa yuta nga imong paliton. Less risk, more peace of mind.

Been surveying for almost a decade as a Geodetic Engineer… and along the way, I realized hindi lang pala ito about sukat. It’s about people, decisions, and sometimes… costly mistakes.

Here are 5 realizations from the field:

1. Hindi sapat ang title para masabing safe ang lupa.

Maraming beses na kami naka-encounter na hindi tugma ang nasa papel sa actual na lupa.
Boundaries can be unclear, disputed, or even overlapping.

2. Mas mahal ang problema kaysa prevention.

Yung tipid sa survey ngayon… pwedeng maging malaking gastos later: legal fees, delays, stress.
A simple survey could’ve prevented all of that.

3. Hindi lahat ng bakod ay boundary.
Common assumption ‘to.

Pero maraming bakod ang mali ang pwesto, lalo na kung walang proper survey na ginawa.

4. Bawat lupa may sariling kwento.
Walang dalawang properties na pareho.

May history, may issues, may technicalities—kaya hindi pwedeng “estimate” lang.

5. Trust is built on how you handle the work.

Hindi lang sa ads or posts.

Clients trust you when they see how you work, how you explain, and how you protect their interest.

At the end of the day, this job is not just about measurements… it’s about helping people protect what’s theirs.

Four years ago, we had our very first transaction with Ma’am Tess of Techphil when we purchased our first RTK. That moment marked the beginning of a partnership built on trust, reliability, and shared commitment to excellence.

Since then, we have continuously upgraded our RTK equipment to keep up with the demands of our projects. Recently, we realized it is also time to upgrade our Total Station.

“DILI RA MI MAGPASUKOD KAY PAMILYA RA BITAW MI. DI RA MI MAG AWAY.”

Familiar? We’ve heard this many times. And three years ago, we witnessed firsthand why this mindset can be dangerous.

We were doing a subdivision survey for a big, happy family; 9 ka managsuon, all smiles, all supportive. Pag-abot namo, they even prepared lunch for us. Grabe ka-init sa ilang hospitality, maka-happy jud tan-awon kay klaro kaayo ilang pagtinabangay and love for each other.

Survey works began. The whole day smooth ra kaayo among proseso, measurements, boundaries, everything.

UNTIL…
Pag-abot na namo sa paglubong sa mohon, one of the siblings quietly whispered to me:

“Sir, pwede i-move gamay ang mohon padulong diri? Para mas dako akong part?”

It caught me off guard. And of course, we said NO — kay dili na sakto, and that is against our values.

But that moment reminded me of something important:
Bisan pinakasuod nga pamilya, ma-tempt gihapon kung yuta na ang hisgutan.

So if you’re one of those who always say…
“Okay ra dili magpasukod kay pamilya ra bitaw mi.”
“Di mi mag-away kay magkasinabot ra mi.”

Please think twice.

Now that the last typhoon has finally left the country, we want to express our deepest sympathies to everyone affected. This year has been a challenging one for all of us, especially for Cebuanos who have faced earthquakes, typhoons, and landslides in just a few months.

We could not express how much this has affected us, knowing Cebu is our home... home to our people, our clients, and our shared hopes.

These experiences have taught us many lessons. In solidarity, we remind ourselves to stay steadfast and positive, believing that one day, we will rise again. But as much as we honor resilience, we also believe that accountability must be part of our rebuilding -- to make wiser, safer, and more sustainable choices for our communities.
