The Philippines improved its Investor Relations (IR) rank from 12th place in 2022 to 3rd place this year, according to the 2023 IR and Debt Transparency Report of the Institute of International Finance (IIF).
βThe Department of Finance welcomes this substantial feat. Our persistent efforts in bilateral meetings, conferences, and Philippine Economic Briefings abroad were effective in establishing investor confidence in the Philippinesβ strong performance and macroeconomic fundamentals,β said Finance Secretary Benjamin E. Diokno.
Strong IR programs support countries' efforts to attain stable and affordable access to international debt markets and are effective in mobilizing international private capital towards achieving global climate and sustainable development goals.
