BREAKING: Land Development Permit of Ayala-SM Consortium at SRP Approved Already by Cebu City Council!

In a nail-biting deliberation this afternoon at the Cebu City Council, the long awaited SM-Ayala Consortium finally hurdled the last impediment as it got approval to its Land Development Permit (LDP) application.

But it did not come easy.

When the discussion winded up and was time for the vote, the numbers came out to an 8-8 draw. (Councilors Rama and Tumulak absent in the session)

Then Vice Mayor Mike Rama casted his vote... in favor of the proposal (sponsored by Councilor Zafra) which must have been a sweet victory for him as the project was one of the highlights of his term as Mayor years back..
