LOOK: The Future of Public Transport in Davao is Finally Taking Shape!
Construction is now progressing in Calinan for the massive ₱81.4-billion Davao Public Transport Modernization Project (DPTMP), also known as “DavaoBus.” Key structures including the terminal, depot, and even a dedicated driving school and training center are now visibly rising.
Once operational, the modernized 672-kilometer transport network is expected to serve around 800,000 commuters daily with:
⚡ 386 Electric Buses
🚌 531 Regular Buses
🚐 188 Mini Buses
This is more than just a transport project — it’s a major transformation in how Davao moves, connects, and grows as a modern city. Backed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Philippine government, this stands as one of the country’s biggest transport infrastructure investments ever.
Davao is not slowing down — it’s moving forward.
