LOOK | SM Lanang Premier East Expansion Reaches Second Floor
Construction continues to gain momentum at the East Expansion of SM Lanang Premier, with the structure now reaching the second floor as work steadily progresses on one of Davao Cityโs largest commercial developments. A tower crane has also been installed on-site, enabling faster and more efficient vertical construction as the project moves into its next phase.
The east expansion will introduce two 15-storey BPO towers alongside a multi-level parking facility, further strengthening Lanangโs position as one of Davao Cityโs premier business and commercial districts. The project is part of SM Primeโs initial โฑ1.7-billion expansion investment for the property.
Targeted for completion in 2028, the expansion will increase SM Lanang Premierโs total gross floor area to approximately 266,000 square meters, making it the second-largest mall in Mindanao after SM City Davao. Davao City will continue to be the only city in Mindanao with multiple malls exceeding the 200,000-square-meter mark, including Gaisano Mall of Davao.

With construction advancing floor by floor, the development is expected to generate more employment opportunities, attract additional investments, and further cement Lanang as a key economic growth center in Davao City.
