AZUELA COVE ENTERS A NEW CHAPTER OF GROWTH IN DAVAO WITH MALL DEVELOPMENT
Since opening in 2017, Azuela Cove has steadily grown into one of Davao City’s most active waterfront communities, shaped by both thoughtful development and the way people use and enjoy its shared spaces. Over the years, it has become known as a wellness- and lifestyle-focused destination, regularly hosting fun runs, sunrise yoga sessions, and other activities that bring together families, fitness enthusiasts, and the wider community along its seaside promenade.
As visitor numbers increased and nearby neighborhoods continued to grow, the estate’s retail offerings also expanded. Azuela High Street, designed with a pedestrian-friendly concept inspired by BGC High Street, emerged as a popular dining and shopping hub. It now features well-loved restaurants, alfresco dining with park views, and a frequently used pickleball facility. More lifestyle-oriented brands are set to join the mix, with Adidas scheduled to open in December, followed by Bootcamp and Rev in the coming year, further enriching the area’s retail and leisure options.
The continued evolution of Azuela Cove reflects the long-term vision of its developers, Ayala Land in partnership with the Alcantara Group. The estate has been planned to balance commercial growth, community interaction, and environmental integration, highlighted by wide promenades, shaded walkways, and generous green spaces that promote daily movement and outdoor living. The proposed mall is envisioned as a seamless extension of Azuela Cove, enhancing the walkable experience already established at Azuela High Street while introducing new dining, shopping, and lifestyle options within a cohesive waterfront setting.
