MOUNT KARILONGAN SELECTED AS ONE OF THE DESTINATION SITES.FOR DAVAO ADVENTURE CHALLENGE (DAC): SEASON 2

The Koontayan 'To Obu Manuvu Eco-cultural Adventure in Mount Karilongan, Barangay Carmen, Baguio District, Davao City is selected as one of the destination sites in Davao City for the Davao Adventure Challenge: Season 2, out of 22 adventure sites in Davao Region which was officially launched last August 26, 2025 at Rogen Inn, Davao City headed by the Department of Tourism Davao Region (DOT 11). The objective of this one-year long activity is to solidify the region's status as a premier adventure tourism destination in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. The challenge will start from September 1, 2025 up to August 30, 2026.

Bae Nilda Landim, the Tribal Chieftain of the Indigenous Cultural Community/Obu-Manuvu of Barangay Carmen and Mr. Joshua Donato, the Ecotourism Consultant of the Tribe together with the participating local government unit across Davao Region , media practitioners, and site manager partners joined the launching.

The Koontayan 'To Obu-Manuvu Eco-Cultural Adventure Park is a community-based eco-cultural tourism project of the Indigenous Obu-Manuvu Cultural Community in Barangay Carmen in partnership with EGIP Foundation Inc. with the support from Obu-Manuvu Ancestral Domain Management Office, BLGU-Brgy.Carmen, and NCIP XI.
