UPDATES! On the Status of Water Supply in Samantha Homes
(As of 12 March 2022)
The officers and board of the Samantha Bago Homeowners’ Association, Inc. (SAMBAGHOAI) have lodged a formal complaint at the Davao City Water District (DCWD) relative to the unannounced and long lasting water interruption the Samantha Homes Bago community has been experiencing for a couple of years now.
As a matter of fact, two (2) letters were sent: the first one as the main complaint letter while the second one as a follow-up letter. Since then, SAMBAGHOAI has not received any formal letter of reply from DCWD.
When a couple of the SAMBAGHOAI officers went to the DCWD Office to personally make a follow-up on several instances, they were simply told that the cause of the aforementioned water interruption was due to low water pressure arising from its various projects such as improvement of water facilities.
Amid the water struggle, officials from Brgy. Bago Gallera did file a similar complaint before the Office of the Davao City Mayor and the matter was referred to DCWD.
Given such, the newly elected SAMBAGHOAI officers and board are now contemplating on seeking assistance from other agencies, both government and non-government, such as but not limited to the Department of Trade and Industry, Local Water Utilities Administration, and Philippine Association of Water Districts.
For the time being, every Samantha Homes resident is encouraged to be resilient, making the most of the situation vis-à-vis water interruption. More collective and/or individual efforts to address said situation in an acceptable manner would certainly be welcome.
