Proposed Metro Davao Coastal Promenade

The second in our series of Proposed Metro Davao Projects, the Proposed Metro Davao Coastal Promenade is in line with the goal of connecting Metro Davao through parkways and greenbelts. The coastline of the Davao Gulf is one of the natural treasures of Metro Davao.

Through this project, pedestrian-friendly, bikeable, and mass transit-oriented corridors are promoted. It has the potential to become one of the city’s remarkable landmarks by infusing new green spaces in the urban setting, which can serve as a venue for recreational activities. By developing the long coast into sections, commercial and retail spaces can be located there and can serve as an added source of government revenue.

The Metro Davao Urban Master Plan was conceived in partnership with the Mindanao Development Authority and the local government units of Metro Davao: Davao City, Panabo City, Carmen, Tagum City, Maco, Digos City, Santa Cruz, and the Island Garden City of Samal.
