Matcha Bar, established in 2022 within About Life Grocer, is now moving to its very own space.

I approached this space as my personal canvas - a place to experiment with every design element I’ve always wanted to try but never had the courage to attempt elsewhere. I didn’t overthink whether it would all come together perfectly. From the very start, I decided this space would reflect boldness and creative freedom, even if the result was unconventional or mismatched.

My design blends raw, natural elements with a modern minimalist approach. The textured concrete forms, reminiscent of organic landscapes, add a bold yet understated character to the space. The smooth, curved ceiling contrasts with the raw finishes, creating an interplay of softness and structure. Neutral tones and clean lines maintain simplicity, while the thoughtful lighting highlights architectural details, giving the space a serene, grounded appeal.
