COMELEC’s Grand Election Heist: Is the 2025 Vote Already Stolen?
By OPTIC Politics DEPO | March 5, 2025

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is dangerously playing with fire, and its chairman, George Garcia, is at the center of a brewing electoral scandal that threatens the very foundation of Philippine democracy. It is now March 2025, and yet Comelec has failed to comply with a critical legal requirement—securing an independent international certification for the automated election system that will be used in the upcoming May 12, 2025, midterm elections.

Republic Act No. 9369, also known as the Amended Automated Election Law, explicitly mandates that an “established international certification entity” must verify and certify that the hardware and software to be used in the elections are working properly, securely, and accurately. More importantly, this certification should have been released by February 12, 2025—90 days before the elections. But where is it? What is Comelec hiding from the Filipino people?

Instead of providing transparency, Comelec has chosen the path of secrecy, intimidation, and outright suppression of those who dare to ask questions. Former Congressman Egay Erice was the first to demand answers—and instead of receiving a logical explanation, he was disqualified from the elections. It took a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) from the courts to reinstate him. More recently, Vice Mayoral candidate Atty. Jeryll Harold Respicio from Isabela also raised similar concerns of the vulnerabilities of the election system. And what did Comelec do? Instead of answering, they sued him and even threatened him with disqualification and disbarment!

Atty. Respicio’s Explosive Revelation: A Backdoor to Election Fraud?

Atty. Respicio’s case is especially alarming because he didn’t just question Comelec’s lack of certification—he uncovered something even more disturbing. He raised grave concerns about the vulnerability of the counting machines to manipulation. He exposed a potential backdoor program that could allow unauthorized access and compromise the integrity of the entire election process.

This is not just speculation. If a backdoor exists, it would mean that election results could be altered at will, allowing certain candidates to be fraudulently installed into power. Instead of addressing these concerns with transparency, Comelec responded with threats, legal action, and intimidation—further fueling suspicions of a grand electoral scheme.

This is not mere incompetence. This is a deliberate and sinister plot to rig the 2025 elections.

Comelec’s Dark Agenda: A Marcos-Romualdez Power Grab?

Let’s not pretend that this is merely an oversight. The pieces of the puzzle are coming together, and the bigger picture is terrifying.

Marcos has already declared a “12-0” senatorial sweep—a shameless claim that his entire lineup will win, while his political enemies, particularly those aligned with former President Rodrigo Duterte and VP Sara Duterte, will be wiped out. How can Marcos be so confident? The answer is clear: the election is being set up to deliver his desired results. And who is at the helm of this grand scheme? George Garcia—Comelec’s chairman and a known Marcos loyalist.

Lest we forget, George Garcia was the very same lawyer who represented Bongbong Marcos in his electoral protest against former Vice President Leni Robredo. And now, this same man is in charge of ensuring a “fair and honest” election? This is a mockery of democracy.

A Cover-Up for Corruption and a Plot to Secure VP Sara’s Conviction?

This election is about more than just numbers—it’s about absolute power and total control. The Marcos-Romualdez dynasty understands that a legitimate opposition in the Senate and local governments would mean trouble for their corruption-ridden administration. They are desperate to secure a supermajority in the Senate, not just to protect themselves from corruption cases, but to manipulate future legal proceedings—especially against VP Sara Duterte.

This is a calculated and ruthless maneuver. By engineering a Marcos-dominated Senate and local government structure, they can ensure that any legal attack against them is blocked, while paving the way for the prosecution and conviction of Sara Duterte.

This is not just an election. This is a battle for the soul of the nation.

The Filipino People Must Rise Against This Sham!

Comelec has been caught red-handed. The law is clear, and their failure to secure an independent election certification is not just negligence—it is proof of premeditated electoral fraud. The people must demand answers:

⁉️ Where is the certification from an established international entity?

⁉️ Why is Comelec suppressing and intimidating those who ask questions?

⁉️ Who is pressuring Comelec to cover up this blatant violation of the law?

⁉️ What is the truth behind Atty. Respicio’s revelation of a backdoor program?

The time for silence is over. The Filipino people must demand accountability from Comelec, George Garcia, and the Marcos administration. If we allow this sham election to proceed unchecked, we will be surrendering our democracy to a dynasty that is willing to cheat, manipulate, and destroy anyone who stands in their way.

Comelec must be forced to act now—or face the wrath of a nation that refuses to be silenced.
