Davao City is set to build three new bus terminals in Bunawan, Calinan, and Toril under the Davao Public Transport Modernization Project (DPTMP).
Under the plan, provincial buses will no longer enter the city center and will instead operate from the new terminals, replacing trips to the Davao City Overland Transport Terminal in Ecoland to ease traffic congestion.
The Bunawan Terminal will serve northbound routes:
🚌 Tagum
🚌 Davao de Oro
🚌 Butuan
🚌 Surigao
🚌 Mati
The Calinan Terminal will cater to Bukidnon-bound routes:
🚌 Cagayan de Oro
🚌 Iligan
🚌 Ozamis
The Toril Terminal will handle southbound trips:
🚌 Digos
🚌 General Santos
🚌 Cotabato areas
The first phase will focus on the Calinan route, with land acquisition for terminals and depots already completed.
Partial operations are targeted by 2027, with full implementation expected between 2028 and 2029.
