IMPORTANT PUBLIC ADVISORY

The City Government of Davao has ordered the suspension of classes in all levels in both public and private schools in Davao City from December 21 (Thursday) to December 23 (Saturday) because of Tropical Storm Vinta.

Schools with scheduled Christmas parties from December 21 to December 23 must issue their own advisory and announcements to guide their students and should exercise prudence in their planned activities for the safety of their students and personnel.

The City Government will not suspend work during the duration of the tropical storm. Private companies are encouraged to prepare a plan for their respective employees.

Everyone is encouraged to stay home and postpone outdoor activities.

Buses and trucks will be deployed for Dabawenyos who will be possibly stranded if flooding shall occur.

Residents in flood and landslide-prone areas are urged to be always on the alert and prepare for preemptive evacuation if necessary.

Call 911 for emergencies.
