This handmade parol was crafted with a dash of creativity by the volunteers. Materials used were purely recycled, from the base to the front, back, and sides of the parol, where CDs, egg trays, and bottle caps were used to bring this star to life. Each material represents a significance in the club's passion for the community, such as the use of the caution tape in creating the tails, which is a representation to remind the people in the community to always be ready in times of unpredictable circumstances. The parol symbolizes the Senior Plus Red Cross Youth, the Davao Doctors College, Inc., and Metro Pacific Health’s stand, which embodies the value of life that the three organizations have in common and echoes their constant support and preparedness towards the community. No matter how difficult the situation or how devastating the disaster, a person with humanity, impartiality, and universality will always be there to lend a helping hand and provide holistic care with compassion. SPRCY lives to its mantra of delivering care that is beyond compare because for us, it's always first, always ready, always there.
