I started investing in real estate in my early 20s. I didn't understand it back then. I just took my parents' advice and just grabbed the chance.
Back then, I felt like I was a risk-averse person. I always wanted to play safe. I wanted certainty. Being driven academically, I always wanted that all my hardwork will bear fruit.
Investing is a different ball game. But I realized that I love the thrill of it - the idea of not fully knowing what's ahead but still pushing myself towards the end goal.
I know some young people feeling the fear of investing in real estate at this point in time and I get it! Pandemic or not, it is quite a risk to take! But let me tell you this...
In around 2012, we saw an ad of a subdivision. Monthly payment was quite affordable. It was already a good deal given the community that it offers. But we brushed it off.
Years later, when we already felt ready, the deal was already gone! Now, the price has more than doubled.
That's why it's always better to choose NOW, than wait until it feels right. Truth is, it can get uncomfortable in the beginning. But it will get better through time - both your self-discipline and the value of your property.
Take courage now. Don't miss the chance. β¨
