Davao City remains among the wealthiest cities in the Philippines, ranking 8th nationwide with ₱37.4 billion in total assets, based on data from the 2024 Annual Financial Report (AFR) of the Commission on Audit (COA).
Ranking in terms of Assets:

The latest COA report places Davao City in the Top 10 richest cities in the country in terms of assets, alongside major urban centers such as Quezon City, Makati, Manila, and Taguig, as shown in the COA-based ranking.
Davao City is also the only city from Mindanao to enter the Top 10 list, underscoring its strong financial position compared to other highly urbanized cities nationwide.
The COA AFR measures city wealth primarily based on total assets, which include cash, properties, infrastructure, and other government resources.
Quezon City topped the list with ₱490 billion in assets, followed by Makati (₱246.1 billion) and Manila (₱92.8 billion). Davao City ranked just ahead of Mandaue City (₱35.8 billion) and Mandaluyong City (₱34.2 billion).
The ranking reflects Davao City’s continued fiscal strength and asset growth, as recorded in the COA’s official financial audit for 2024.
