Statement Regarding SWS Survey On 52 % Self Rated Hunger of Filipinos
By Lorraine Marie T. Badoy
Yesterday we woke up to the news that over half the citizens in this countryâ 52%-- rated themselves as among the hungry.
This heart-rending news is on the level of an atomic bomb being detonated in the heart of our country.
For every 2 Filipinos you meet today, one of them is reeling from hunger. And tonight, more than one in two Filipinos will go to bed hungry.
Who are these Filipinos?
Certainly they are not the current occupants of Malacanangâthose blood sucking parasites who treat taxpayersâ money as if it were their own and have lavish buffet spreadsâcomplete with lobster and wagyu steakâ on a daily basis and who have ostentatious, vulgar parties complete with fireworks and champagne that are a hundreds of thousands to a million bucks a bottle.
Certainly they are not the members of the HOR with their round bellies busting who fly about in helicopters and jet planes purchased with money they shamelessly stole from the Filipino people (We are a prayerful people. Let us pray that each of those aircraft crashes in the ocean with the crocodile that owns it inside it. Amen.)--the most corrupt bunch of crocodiles who crafted a most hideously obscene budget with a record breaking 105% hocus pocus increase by the time that magical creature, the BICAM- was done with it.
Certainly not the paid bloggers/media, generals, their ugly wives and other soulless bastards with a price tag on their integrity âpaid for with taxpayerâs moneyâ and who are now swimming in accursed blood money while our country moves towards even darker times. We shall pray for them too âthat mysterious afflictions visit them that will cause them to leave this earth, pronto.
Hunger is the face of poverty and ones suffering from hunger are the ones living in poverty -- most vulnerable being the smallest among us: children under the age of five.
They experience the deadly effects of hunger the most. Their growth and brain development are stunted. And hunger makes learning, playing, staying healthy harder. It makes them more susceptible to illnesses and not surprisingly, these children are sad, irritable, suffer great discomfort. The carefree childhood that is their birthright has been stolen from them.
All these heartbreaking horrors have been brought upon us by the gross incompetence and heartless indifference of Ferdinand Marcos Jr, this moral degenerate who ran for the presidency not to serve the Filipino people and make our lives better but to empty public coffers and perpetuate himself in power like his father, the dictator, before him did.
It is proof positive that all heâs ever done since the cursed day he became president of this republic is endless politicking to tighten his grip on power and to enrich himself and his friends by bleeding our country dry.
BBM is his fatherâs son through and throughâand no one a more worthy namesake to the fascist plunderer Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
And so all these have come to pass. Hunger. No basic services. Our health care system plundered. Our pensions and everything that can be plundered have been plundered while billion dollar loans continue to be racked up for more money to be plundered âbecause donât you know it yet? These Marcoses and Romualdezes are insatiable beasts when it comes to stolen wealth. A bottom does not exist for these thieves.
(I laugh when I call them âthievesâ for the understatement that it is. There has to be a new word for this level of thievery like a new word had to be invented to capture Imelda Marcosâ vulgar display of thievery: imeldific (meaning: extravagantly ostentatious, sometimes to the point of vulgarity)
Whatâs even more enraging is the certainty that Bongbong Marcos cares nothing for this. To him the hungry masses are nothing but mere annoyancesâ like a fly he swats away.
If this survey reaches his desk at all, I can see him sniff at it disinterestedly, look at some far away world heâd like to fly to where hungry, pesky Filipinos donât exist, as he wipes his rheumy eyes, his chronically runny nose peppered with white powdery substanceâmost likely cocaineâ and rub that WPS on his gums for a quicker hit, unmindful of blood dripping off his gums. One hair-raising spectacle after another that we have grown used toâ as a nation led by a drug addict is subjected to.
How did we get to this point where more than half the country is going hungry while those in power steal the Filipino blind?
Leadership matters. We gave our trust to the wrong man. A man who cannot manage his own life, much less the lives of 118 million.
In a few days, we are going to be given an extraordinary opportunity for a reset. Yes, I am certain the Marcos Romualdez cheating machinery is in full swing. Becasue just as plunder and lust for power are Marcos/Romualdez traits deeply embedded in their DNA, so is cheating massively in elections. Martin Romualdez has been at it âvote buying in the guise of aidâsince his corpulent ass sat as the most corrupt speaker in the entire history of this country.
And still we must cast our vote and let the chips fall where they may. Let them see what the Filipino is made up of.
There is something they do not want us to figure out and it is this: there is so much more of us than them. And when we stand shoulder to shoulder, we become formidable.
A people united can never be defeated.
We can slap BBM silly, show him whoâs boss and undo this monumental error by May 12. Let Marcos know what exactly you think of him and VOTE PDP LABAN STRAIGHT!
VOTE FOR THE PARTY LIST THAT HAS CONSISTENTLY FOUGHT FOR OUR PEOPLE.
đđ»EPANAW SAMBAYANAN. NO. 18.đđ»
AND NEVER AGAIN TO ANY MARCOS IN GOVERNMENT!
PAYTS!
