𝗭𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆

The Provincial Government of Zambales has decided to cancel several motor-related activities in this year’s Mango Festival as part of efforts to conserve fuel and energy and to limit public expenses.

Among the activities cancelled are the Motocross Challenge and the 4×4 Offroad Challenge, which were scheduled on April 9 and 10, the Car, Motor and Trike Show, the Zamba Liwanag Float Parade and Competition, and the fireworks display that was supposed to follow the parade.

Governor Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. said the decision was made in response to the current economic situation and the need for responsible use of resources. By reducing fuel-intensive and high-cost activities, the provincial government aims to prioritize practical spending while still celebrating the festival with the people of Zambales.

As part of the adjustments, the Mango Festival will now be celebrated for three days instead of four, allowing the province to reduce operational costs and energy consumption while continuing to highlight the culture, agriculture, and tourism of Zambales.

While some activities were cancelled, the provincial government assures the public that the festival will still feature meaningful events that celebrate Zambales’ pride as the home of the sweetest mangoes, bringing communities together in a simpler but still festive celebration.

The provincial government encourages everyone to continue supporting the Mango Festival and the local farmers and communities who make the celebration possible.
