Cebgo Sets Sights on Route Expansion at Iloilo International Airport
Cebu Pacific’s regional subsidiary Cebgo is preparing a strategic route expansion at Iloilo International Airport, positioning the city as a stronger inter-island aviation hub in the Visayas.
The planned expansion will utilize ATR72-600 aircraft, designed for short-haul, high-frequency regional flights. Aviation sources say Iloilo is being developed as a key spoke airport, connecting passengers to underserved but high-demand provincial destinations.
Planned and Proposed Routes from Iloilo
Cebgo is currently eyeing the following new domestic routes:
Iloilo - Daraga effective March 29, 2026, 4x weekly
Iloilo - Davao effective March 29, 2026, 1x daily
Iloilo - Tacloban effective March 21, 2026, 3x weekly
Iloilo - Panglao effective March 29, 2026 4x weekly
Iloilo - Zamboanga effective March 29, 20126 4x weekly
These routes aim to reduce travel time, eliminate unnecessary layovers via Cebu or Manila, and boost regional tourism and trade.
Airport officials confirmed that Iloilo International Airport has sufficient runway capacity, terminal space, and operational readiness to support additional turboprop movements. The expansion also aligns with government efforts to decongest major hubs and strengthen regional air connectivity.
