Message from our Past President Joan Ruth Barcenal-Cabansagan
Time has certainly flown by! When I assumed the role of president, I was warned that the year would pass swiftly, but I am still astonished at how quickly it has gone. This experience has been the most fulfilling, challenging, exhilarating, humbling, and educational journey of my life.
I want to express my sincere gratitude for the privilege of serving the Iloilo City Realtors Board Inc. Over the past year, we have navigated a whirlwind of significant events and circumstances, many of which are still in progress. Personally, this has been a remarkable and eventful time, filled with challenges but ultimately rewarding.
Today, I do not intend to enumerate all our achievements. Instead, I would like to share some reflections on the progress we have made within the ICRB.
This Yearβs Highlights:
Our membership has grown from 53 to 84 members.
Our New Year Party and Officer Induction were successful , with numerous developers and real estate professionals sponsoring the event, which garnered attention from various news agencies.
We have also held regular monthly general membership meetings, inviting distinguished speakers from the real estate sector and various agencies. A key highlight was the ANTI ILLEGAL PRACTITIONER FORUM, featuring speakers from DSHUD, PNP, and PRC. Thank you to Developers and Banks who sponsors our Monthly Event.
Additionally, we are now part of the Board of Directors for the Iloilo City Investment Board. We Also participated in a range of events organized by Iloilo City and various agencies.
Although we were unable to host our Housing Fair this year, we co-hosted the PAREB National Convention in Boracay, which brought honor and prestige to our organization. This required significant preparation and support from our team.
As a close-knit community, we made it a point to visit members who were unwell or had experienced loss this year.
We have two CSR projects under our ICRB Cares initiative. One project is in collaboration with Lions an Eye Clinic, while the other focuses on providing gifts for the students and utility staff at Jalandoni Memorial Elementary School last Dec. 2024
As I reflect on the past year, I find myself considering areas for improvement. In hindsight, I wish we could have engaged in more activities, but time constraints have posed a challenge.
Before I conclude, I would like to share my aspirations for the future. I hope that the incoming ICRB Officers and Board of Directors 2025 will develop more initiatives that support the Real Estate Industry and its members, as well as contribute to our beloved Iloilo.
In closing, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude. I am particularly thankful to the members of the Iloilo City Officers and Board of Directors for 2024. Most importantly, I extend my appreciation to all my colleagues and members for the trust and confidence you have shown in me. It has been both a privilege and an honor to work alongside you throughout the year.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to God, for without Him, we are nothing. All Glory to Him.
I also extend my heartfelt thanks to my family, especially my husband Chief Engr. Joshua Cabansagan, my mother Anecita, and my children.
Again I thank all of you all for the trust you have placed in me by giving me the opportunity to serve as your president. May God bless us allβ¦
