In less than three years, the Iloilo River Esplanade II has undergone a remarkable transformation through the successful planting of over a thousand mangroves by Ilonggo cyclists, in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). The initiative was guided by renowned mangrove expert Dr. Jurgenne Primavera, ensuring both environmental impact and long-term ecological sustainability.
