ARE YOU READY FOR THE LONG WEEKEND?
𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 (𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯), 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 (𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯), 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 (𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯)
Every employee covered by the Holiday Pay Rule is entitled to the minimum wage rate (daily basic wage). This means that the employee is entitled to at least 100% of the minimum wage rate even if the employee did not report for work, provided the said employee is present or is on leave of absence with pay on the work day immediately preceding the holiday.
Work performed on that day merits at least twice (200%) the daily wage of the employees.

𝗡𝗢 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞, 𝗡𝗢 𝗣𝗔𝗬 𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 (𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯)
𝗢𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆
Work performed on a special non-working holiday merits additional compensation of at least thirty percent (30%) of the basic wage or a total of one hundred thirty percent (130%)
Work performed on a special day falling on a rest day merits additional compensation of at least fifty percent (50%) of the basic wage or a total of one hundred thirty percent (150%)
