Cebu continues to shine on the global tourism map as Dusit Thani Mactan joins the prestigious Michelin Guide, following the earlier inclusion of Nustar Hotel Cebu. The recognition reflects the Philippines’ growing reputation for exceptional hospitality and luxury service.
According to the Michelin Guide, Dusit Thani “brings together Filipino warmth and Thai hospitality, offering intuitive service and one of the most impressive infinity pools in the region. Rooms are bright and comfortable, many with balconies made for sunset watching.”
The guide also praised the hotel’s culinary offerings, noting: “A stylish Thai restaurant and breezy beachside bar complete the scene, all anchored by a lobby that feels more like a tropical stage set than a check-in desk.”
This recognition comes on the heels of Michelin’s recent expansion in the Philippines, with five additional hotels added to its recommendations list. The country now boasts 13 hotels in the prestigious guide three of which are located in Cebu: Nustar Hotel Cebu, Dusit Thani Mactan, and Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan making Cebu the most represented destination in the Visayas and Mindanao regions.
The inclusion of these top-tier properties highlights Cebu's emergence as a premier luxury destination in Southeast Asia, offering both local charm and international-standard experiences.
