It is an honor to have collaborated with DWCL SHS - The Investors Club on the recently-concluded Business Simulation and Cultural Exhibit Week. As we reckon on the tedious journey we undertook during the weeks of preparation, it's incredible to see how far we've come. From overcoming obstacles to seizing opportunities, each step has led to the fruition of our labors. Today, we celebrate not just our achievements, but the resilience, determination, and growth that made them possible.
The activities on day 1 were witnessed by the whole High School Community of Divine Word College of Legazpi. To let the Divinian spirit illuminate before others, Grade 10 students of Daraga National High School graced the event. Also, a short talk was given by Dr. Dolores D. Laguilles about Cultural Sustainability, underscoring the importance of preserving our rich Filipino culture.
For a week, HUMSS students showcased different cultures and notable qualities of Tabaco, Legazpi, Sorsogon, Ligao, Iriga, and Masbate through their cultural exhibits. Aside from the cultural exhibit, the week-long activity provided venues to harness the 12th graders' entrepreneurial knowledge and skills and the grade 11 ABM students to experience apprenticeship. This year's business simulation was also graced by DWCL alumni who are now running their own businesses.
This year, the two departmental clubs also came up with the first Camp Youth-nited which fosters the students' creativity, leadership, problem solving skills, and social connections in the team-building activities it frautured.
As the activity concluded on March 22, 2024, the students finally reaped the fruits of their perseverance as they procured awards and recognition. We extend our deepest congratulations to the winners for the Business Simulation and Cultural Exhibit contests. Your hardwork is always appreciated.
It was truly an enriching experience filled with valuable learning opportunities and memorable moments. We thank the committees that worked indefatigably to organize engaging activities, ensure a welcoming atmosphere, and build harmonious connections for making everything auspicious. You created such a positive and impactful experience for all of us.
